‘Ape Davasa’ (Our Day) residential camp is a vital step initiated by Mother Charitable Foundation to improve the intellectual and lifestyle skills of our students. It is a self training programme from which the students are inspired to be trained and familiarized with new experiences. It was held for three days at Subhodhi Centre in Piliyandala. The students enjoyed the sessions done by speech therapists, physiotherapists, art therapists and many other trainers. The objective of this residential training was to identify the weaknesses of our students in their daily routine and to give them an exposure to the outside world. During the camp, The observations of the staff members were noted down to plan similar sessions in the future for each student. Different volunteers partnered with us to improve the quality and the joy of the event. The students left the camp with joy, lots of new experiences and with the enthusiasm to participate in more residential camps in the future.
